Russia Falling: The Coming Civil War enables two players to game the entire first year of a hypothesized near-future post-Putin civil war in Russia.  The map covers the core area of the Russian ethnic heartland, from St. Petersburg in the north to Tula in the south, and from Smolensk on the west to Nizhny Novgorod on the east, at 16 miles (26 km) per hex. It was Stalin who, after the Russian Revolution of the early 20th century, first identified that area as the crucial one from which all the rest of Russia could be controlled.

Nomads No More - Central Asian conflicts in the wake of the Russian Civil War, by John Gorkowski:

The Nomads No More (NNM) game system includes two different games: Ungern's Mongolia and Pasha's Bokhara.  Both games in the NNM system use the same core rules but separate maps and pieces to cover concurrent conflicts that erupted on the eastern perimeter of Soviet Russia soon after the Russian Civil War – the early 1920s.  Ungern's Mongolia simulates the invasion of Mongolia by fleeing Whites, their clash with the Chinese and subsequent pursuit by Reds.  Pasha's Bokhara covers the Basmachi uprising against Soviet rule around Bokhara - present day Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Belmont – Grant Moves South, November 7, 1861, by John Poniske:

Ulysses Grant ... who's he? Prior to the Battle of Belmont, November 7, 1861, this was a valid question. General Grant's Belmont, Missouri, offensive provided him his first action in the war and his green Midwestern troops - needed experience. Having overrun a Rebel camp gave him good reason to claim victory, but then, Confederate general Polk claimed victory as well, for forcing Grant to quit the battlefield and for running his troops back aboard their transports. This see-saw battle involved fewer than 8,000 men yet resulted in combined 15% casualties.  Belmont served Grant with early Army-Navy coordination. It also brought into play the South's largest piece of ordinance, the gigantic "Lady Polk" ... which, coincidentally, blew up during the battle. Belmont presented many "firsts" in the American Civil War. Be among the first to reenact its history.

SCOURGE OF GOD, The Campaigns Of The Mongolians, 1206-1259 is a mainly solo player depiction of the result of the consolidation of the Mongol tribes by Genghis Khan and the resulting next 50 years of conquests that created an empire of the Steppes and brought Mongol horsemen across China to the East and into Poland to the West.  The game is grand strategic, with turns representing 5 years and map hexes 275 km across.  The Mongol player is the active person, with the Empires player almost entirely reactive and easily played optimally by the Mongol player as the race against the clock and limited resources is the main Mongol puzzle.  How do you conquer a lot of the world with just tribes of horsemen from around Lake Baykal.  SCOURGE OF GOD has 200 counters and one full size map.
