The map is divided into areas that channel unit movement as dictated by the terrain. Units represent infantry divisions, artillery batteries and cavalry regiments. Leaders play a key role, activating formations and leading them into action.

Spanish Eagles will feature the Eagles of the Empire rules set 3.0, complete OBs for both battles including what-if scenarios for Talavera (Soult), hidden deployments, special British rules, and optional force breakdowns.

The game has been resized to accommodate 1.3 x .65 inch counters, but retains the scale and intense terrain portrayal for which the series is known.

Spanish Eagles is in the final design phase, with test play about to begin. A mid-2007 release is anticipated. Price and preordering information will appear here at a later date.
