Like Lions They Fought, by Dennis Bishop
A two-player simulation of low-to-medium complexity covering the British invasion of Zululand in 1879. One player controls the Zulu army, while the other controls the British Empire forces. Dynamic action evolves over the course of four general phases, starting with a Zulu Offensive, followed by a Mutual Regrouping and Consolidation, British Advance to Ulundi, and, finally, the Cetshwayo Manhunt!
BONUS GAME MATERIAL: It’s Counterpalooza! This issue includes counters and variant rules to introduce an Optional Fuel Dump for The Last Gamble, Soviet Defensive Lines for WWII Campaigns: 1941, skill & weather systems for Raiders of the Deep, and the Marine Littoral Regiment and EABO for Breaking The Chains.
